We never play the same team twice

The Jollies march on..in March..to another rousing victory, pushing the limits of realistic scorelines with a 7-5 win over Rubber Tappers, and extended an astonishing 100% win record stretching back to the start of 2013. Star defender Akhil made a fantastic goalkeeping debut with several calm catches and colossal clearances, while Ross and Kannan were imperious in defence and RM Andrew Johnny and Shan patrolled the flanks with sentry-like efficiency. The midfield - Brad Oscar and Junwai – bossed proceedings and hustled well, while the attack always looked dangerous on the …er… attack.

Barely 5 minutes in and the ref decides to stir things up by giving a penalty from an innocent handball…the Jollies equalized instantly as Muru ran clear of the defence and clipped a beautiful one over the keeper, and then went ahead with a tap-in from the “combined schools Chennai and Dhaka star” again … lol. Then the ref, who probably bought over 3.5 for the first half, mystifyingly gave them a freekick on the Jollies goal-line…after Akhil picked up a loose ball that came off Oscar!? #bookieatwork. So Jollies 2 – Referee 2 at half-time.

The opponents then scored very early in 2H to take a 2-3 lead. But then some inspirational roars from RM and TKan provided the impetus for 3 blistering goals as the Jollies stormed back like Man Utd in 2012/2013 – Tkan finished Muru’s cross after some cool tiki-taka between Brad Ants and Tim, Ants dispatched a penalty after being totally unfairly obstructed in the box, and TKan scored a golazooooo completing a stunning 20-pass move involving all 17 players (yes, tt’s probably what happened #nooneknowsactually).

After that, Jollies started to chill out too soon as the midweek/all-week liver training regime for some took its toll, and carelessly let slip the lead to 5-5, like Man Utd this season. The opponents by then had become generally quite upset with everyone ... us, the ref, their own team..and were whining about various trivialities, but the Jollies sidestepped all the nonsense to finish strongly. After a weird period of pressure on the team, which included a 10 minute soliloquy from the ref directed strangely at Ong and which Andrew hilariously kept saying “yes ok ok ok” to, the Jollies powered on. Tim won another penalty and new daddy Nige coolly stepped up… and conveerted the penalty like a boss… following up by dedicating a famous celebration to baby Mike! Then somewhere Ants also had a tap in and so the Jollies saw out the rest of the game with relative ease.

Other highlights include the ref requesting Ross to please give the other team a chance after a small fracas and sub himself off, which he politely obliged, and Muru similarly politely declining to finish his hattrick after dribbling past the keeper then rolling the ball slow enough toward goal for the defender to hack off the line… very generous…Oh and Kannan’s legendary reply to the opponent’s request for a grudge rematch..- “We never play the same team twice.” LOL!

The winning run may end sometime, but the memories will … actually they fade relatively quickly (like that very same evening… it took a few people a few days and many beers to piece this together).. hence the resumption of recording match reports for when we need to remember these good ol days!

TIESTO!

ok so 3 trance enthusiasts made a trip to Truly Asia to experience for the first time the top DJ in the world - TIESTO!

upon reaching port Dickson (PD), we discovered that it was a VERY sleepy town and wondered how on earth such a huge event could be held here with not one but 3 world class djs. Had lunch at the only KFC in the entire town, and searched the entire town for alcohol, only to find our good ol fren Samsu in a “restaurant bar”, with many red-eyed patrons in it haha

in the end, we bought almost all of one shop’s tiger beer and went back to our somewhat high-end hotel, where majority of the guests didn’t look like they were there for a trance party. In the Jacuzzi, we made big plans! Decided to go to KL in the afternoon on the next day.

So Friday night 10pm! Our gd ol fren ferry ferry first- once we entered the area, we were blown away by the size of the stage and the amazing lasers and pyrotechnics!! Ferry played sirens of the sea and pictures, which can be found in the first part of above and beyond’s trance ard the world #207!!

Ending off with his signature track, none other than a cool remix of PUNK! What then followed was a laser sideshow performed by some expert laserwielding jedi master. Then our main man began his set ! TIESTO!

After a somewhat slow warm-up set which lasted 1hr, tiesto turned on the power and never looked back. with new and old tracks coming on and lasers going mad coupled with fireworks, the crowd was going into the state of trance haha

We heard signature tracks like traffic and finally the song we were waiting for ---! Tiesto’s He’s a Pirate! !! which was amazing to say the least.! The 2nd night was equally good and even more crowded, probably reaching 40,000 people!

All in all, this was an out of this world trance experience!

so.. ferry corsten - check, armin -check, pvd- check, above and beyond - check, cosmic gate- chick, TIESTO!!! -check

next stop… Ibiza!

Missing Person Bulletin !

The J.U.F.C. Board believe that it is about time to release a piece of terrible news to our ardent Fans/Members/Naysayers. Ansel, a member of our once illustrious Club, is Missing. (Now now, Please save your panic till the end of the entry). Our Pacy-tricksy Hobbit Winger, has not been seen for over 218 Days (including Public Holidays), and we would like to engage the public's help in finding him.

He was last seen, well, the reports differ here. Some seem to have spotted him at Club Rouge mid October, While some reports, have claimed that he was sighted as recently as November 8th. None Of these accounts, sadly, can be verified. The BOARD is atleast sure that we brought him back with the rest of the Team from Bintan.

Ansel was last seen wearing something, that sadly, i cannot recollect. (Due to the fact that it was a long time ago, and BT's parents have brought back many bottles since then). We can be sure that he was either wearing a blue polo, a striped polo, or some collared polo. And we DO know for sure, that he was wearing glasses.

Foul play, is not suspected; but is definitely not ruled out. Some photographic evidence taken from a thailand scouting trip, indicate that a certain member in our ranks, could have a vested interest in Ansel, that might extend beyond the pitch. However, nothing conclusive has been concluded from our extensive Investigations.

The JUFC Board, would like to plead from the many bottoms of our collective hearts with the public, to come forward with Any information, no matter how trivial, that pertains to the whereabouts, or howabouts of our Beloved Winger Ansel. You can call us Toll Free at 96388725.

Ole Ole Ole Ole!

"I think I can say that I have given my all, given everything I could as a player to Manchester United. I’m proud to have been a part of this fantastic club, and played under such a brilliant manager. I’ve also played alongside some great players and made some great friends here. I’ve had some fantastic experiences that are too numerous to just list here and now. Most of all, the fans have been magnificent." - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Yesterday, A United Legend Hung his Boots after a Spectacular Career, Scoring 126 goals, and THE goal in Barcelona '99 that will be remembered Forever. The ever reliable Norwegian Talisman has come off the bench on more than 1 occasion to slot home a crucial goal for Our beloved United. Albeit, his knee problem has tainted his last few Seasons, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will Always be a United Legend.

Pls note: Due to the extremely biased nature of JUFC, the priviledge of Team information and clips is limited only to Manchester United. IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED! Thank you.

SHOCKING BREAKING NEWS!

Hi all, Just decided to drop in and let everyone know the disturbing news for the majority of us, (but happy news for characters with a Star in their name). Mr Jai has officially fully stepped out of the closet. I don't know if i wanna congratulate him, but i definitely have to say i'm not surprised.

A Credible source reports to JUFC, that another member, whose sexuality has long remained questionable, might be following in the brave Pioneering footsteps of Mr Jai. The Board urges members of JUFC to not ostracise our misplaced brethren, and to support their inevitable unholy matrimony. (Although all members are required to maintain a 2m safety distance)

Also, The Health & Wellness branch of JUFC encourages members to eat less this week, to stem any cases of Regurgitating that might spring from the shocking nature of these developments, Health/Maritime Officer Ambrose particularly recommends staying away from Hokkien Mee.
